Xcerpt: Resoning-aware Web Querying
You have reached the home of Xcerpt's demonstrations. On this site you can access information, code, Webcasts, talks, tutorials, and publications about Xcerpt, the query language developed at the I4 working group in the REWERSE project.
Xcerpt is a first representative of versatile Web query languages, i.e., query languages that allow access to different data formats used in the current and future Web. It implements most of the principles outlined in [Bry, Furche et al., JSWIS 2005]. Currently, the most complete description of the language can be found in Sebastian Schaffert's Thesis that focuses on querying XML and therefore omits a number of advanced language features tailored towards Semantic Web data and in Deliverable I4-D6 that focuses on Xcerpt's syntax.
The remaining pages on this site present you
- an under-development Webcast on Xcerpt. Some episodes are already available, more will be added over time.
- a (very much work-in-progress) collection of talks and tutorials on Xcerpt and I4's work
- a list of applications and demos showing Xcerpt's abilities and features.
